Our Policies

SHIPPING, CANCELLATIONS, RETURNS & REFUNDS

Shipping Methods:
Standard Shipping (USPS or UPS) – 3rd & Spoon ships throughout the United States.  Orders with a delivery address inside Ohio will be shipped Mon-Thu each week. Orders with a delivery address outside Ohio will be shipped Mon-Wed each week.  All shipments will be sent via USPS or UPS.  Delivery times are expected to be between 2-5 business days.  However, we cannot guarantee delivery dates at this time.  We will not be held responsible for any shipping delays once an order has left our facility.  To avoid prolonged exposure to weather conditions, we recommend each order is shipped to an address where someone is available to receive it timely.  Any order returned to us due to an incorrect address will be subject to a reshipment fee.  Each order of $50.00 or more will be eligible for free shipping.  Each order under $50.00 will include a flat shipping fee of $8.95.
Local delivery is available to customers with a delivery address in zip codes 43110, 43105, 43136, 43046 and 43147.  Each order of $30.00 or more will be eligible for free delivery.  Each order under $30.00 will include a flat delivery fee of $5.00.  Guidelines for local delivery are as follows:  Orders received Mon-Sat by 4:00PM will be delivered the same day.  Orders generally will be processed and delivered within 48 hours.  Delivery times generally will be between 5:00PM-9:00PM, although we will deliver prior to 5:00PM if possible.  No deliveries will be made on Sunday or on federal holidays.  If we attempt a delivery and nobody is present to receive it, we will leave the delivery at the door unless otherwise instructed in the order comments.  We will follow these guidelines as best we can, but deviations may be made from time to time based on availability of delivery drivers, inclement weather, or other circumstances beyond our control.  If and when these circumstances arise, we will contact customers with updates to expected delivery times.  To confirm delivery availability for a specific date, the quickest way to contact us is via Facebook Messenger @3rdspoon.
Expedited Shipping – For expedited shipping options, please contact us before placing your order.  No expedited shipping options will be available at checkout on this website.  After an order is placed on this website, we cannot guarantee we will be able to change the shipping method within a short amount of time.  Expedited shipping prices may vary.
Special Orders:
Backorders – Most of our products are available for backorder.  We keep a small set of stock set aside for our online store, but we usually have more stock available at any given time for our markets and vendor events.  Backorders from our online store can be filled from our market stock in most cases.  We also make fresh products weekly.  Backorders are generally not expected to take more than a week to fill, however delays may last longer from time to time.  If an order contains a backorder item, the entire order will be held until all items are in stock.  We will not fulfill, deliver or ship any partial orders.  Please contact us if you have questions about product availabilty.
Bulk Orders – An order that contains more than 12 items will be considered a bulk order.  We prefer you contact us in advance of placing a bulk order so that we can plan our production and shipping supplies accordingly.  If a bulk order is placed without us being contacted in advance, we will still accept and fulfill the order, however it may be placed on hold until our inventory can accomodate it.  Bulk orders cannot be guaranteed for fulfillment within the timelines described in our regular shipping policy.

Other Policy Information:
For inquiries about expedited shipping options, please contact us prior to ordering.  All sales are final.
Orders may be canceled as long as we receive the request via email prior to creating the shipping label.  Once a shipping label has been created for an order, it cannot be canceled.
Due to the perishable nature of our product, we cannot and will not accept any product returns or exchanges.
We want you to be 100% satisfied with your order.  If for any reason you are not satisfied, please contact us within two days of receiving your order to discuss refund or credit options.
Holiday Pre-Orders (November 12, 2024 thru December 14, 2024):
The policies above apply to holiday pre-orders with the following exceptions:
Online pre-orders can only be made through the Pre-Order page of this website (www.3rdspoon.com/pre-orders).  Orders containing both regular stock and pre-order items will not be split.  If an order contains any pre-order items, the entire order will be fulfilled based on the following pre-order schedule.  Pre-orders that are shipped will be sent from our facility no later than Dec 16th, 2024.  Please note that shipping times may take longer than normal during the holiday season.  Pre-orders that are delivered locally will be delivered between Dec 18th-20th, 2024.
Gift Card Policy:
Gift cards are available in amounts of $10, $25, $50, $75 and $100.  Coupon codes and discount codes cannot be used toward the purchase of gift cards.  When a gift card is purchased, a gift card code will be automatically generated and sent to the designated recipient via email.   Codes can be entered during checkout to be redeemed on purchases of products on www.3rdspoon.com only.  Codes cannot be redeemed on any other site, including our Square site.  Codes cannot be redeemed at in-person events.  Codes have no cash value.  Codes cannot be replaced if lost or stolen.  If a code is lost, please contact our customer support and we will likely be able to retrieve it.  If a customer creates an account on the site, codes can be used to add and store gift card balances to that account.  Codes do not expire, but any code that has a remaining balance after two years from its issue date will have a fee of up to $2.00 per month deducted from its balance until fully redeemed or until the balance is zero.
Monthly Cookie Dough Giveaway:
Each month we will do a random drawing from our active email list subscribers to give away free cookie dough.  On the first Sunday of each month, we will export our active subscriber list and select at random one subscriber, who will be deemed the winner of the drawing for that month.  The subscriber will be contacted via email to let them know they have won, and will be given options to choose from for their prize.  Prize options will be based on availability of products at the time, but will generally be an option of either one (1) large jar or three (3) small jars of cookie dough.  Winners will have until the end of the month to claim their prize.  Winners will need to provide an address to which their prize can be shipped or delivered.  We will make two attempts during the month to notify the winner.  Unclaimed prizes will be forfeited.
